Last week, I was overjoyed to receive a surprise gift from Calla Shoes–these stunning black ankle boots. Seriously, as soon as I opened the box, I did a little dance in utter delight. If you’re a regular reader, you might already know that I am (and always have been) a little bit of a closet goth. A wannabe (good) witch and lover of all things dark and Victorian lol. So these black ankle boots couldn’t possibly have been more me. I absolutely love them. I also absolutely love Calla shoes! As someone who suffers from bunions, I have been a huge fan of them since I was first introduced to them.
Black ankle boots – three outfits (other two coming soon)
I love the boots so much, in fact, that this weekend I had to do three outfit photoshoots (because we’re off on holiday soon) and the black ankle boots were simply perfect for each outfit.
The first look is this khaki dress that I bought a few months ago when the Fab40s theme called for us gals to wear a shirt dress. I bought two dresses at the time but was saving this one for the cooler weather. Unfortunately, it’s been so cold that I needed to team it with a black polo neck and jeans lol.
And, once I’d put on the dress, jeans and polo neck, I just knew the black ankle boots from Calla would be the perfect footwear to complete the look. I finished it off with my very old khaki handbag that is almost worn out but I can’t bring myself to dispose of it.
Crazy hair
With my hair slowly growing, I figured it was time to try out a headband again and because I’m clearly totally obsessed with khaki (!), this lace one did the trick. Just a shame about the wind messing it up! It was freezing out there lol. Brrrrrrrr.
Speaking of cold, we’re heading out on holiday soon and we’re going somewhere much colder than here in the Algarve lol. But I’ll tell you more about it all when I get back. I will be blogging in the meantime though, so don’t worry, you won’t miss me 😉
