My bunions are in heaven with Calla Shoes!

I have bunions. Yep. Bunions. A common problem, particularly with women, bunions can be incredibly painful and make wearing some shoes very uncomfortable. I usually struggle with high heels but my biggest bug-bear with my bunions was the fact that I couldn’t wear ballerina shoes. My bunions would rub against the side of the shoe which would also gape down the inner side of my foot. This drove me crazy.

So, imagine my utter relief and delight when I received this gorgeous pair from Calla Shoes. Designed specifically for feet with bunions, Calla Shoes are a Godsend for women like me.

The moment I slipped on this pair of ballerina shoes, my feet sighed in relief! They were, by far, the most comfortable pair of shoes ever. I was fortunate enough to have been able to choose a pair of Calla Shoes from their collection (and they’ve got some gorgeous heels as well as flats) so I opted for these ballerina shoes because of the problem I’d had for years before.

I’m incredibly impressed with the fit, the feel, the quality and the look of these leather shoes. I wore them out to dinner a few nights ago, when I knew we would be walking a little distance from the car to the restaurant. And they were just marvellous.

You know that feeling when you buy a new pair of super soft slippers – when you first put them on and just sigh? Well, that’s what my feet felt like all night! I don’t think I will ever look at another pair of ballerina shoes anywhere else. I’ve already told hubby I’d like a few more in other colours! This particular pair costs £90 – well worth it for such supportive and comfortable shoe that will undoubtedly last for years.

So, on to my outfit for the night. I wanted a bit of a rock chick chic look (!) and think I achieved that 😉 I decided to wear my skinny Salsa jeans and my new one shoulder sweater that I bought from Primark for two euros. Yes, two euros! Insane, I know. But as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. It’s actually a size smaller than I usually get but it was the only one and, like I said, I had to have it lol.

Accessories

My clutch is from Massimo Dutti and I love it because it goes with everything! The two rings were gifts from mother-in-law (I know…. every single post, I show you gifts from her – I’m very lucky indeed!).

I decided against wearing a necklace because the side of the jumper is quite high against my neck and I thought a necklace might get in the way a bit. So, instead I wore a pair of statement earrings. They’re meant to be black butterflies but it was difficult to show that up close in the photos. I’ve had them a few years and I bought them from Bijou Brigitte in Aqua, which has since closed down. Bummer 🙁 This silver bracelet was one that I won in a Twitter competition a few years ago – it came with a gold one too, which I sometimes wear together with this one.

Black coat

Because the evenings can still be chilly, I decided to take a black coat with me. The one shown here isn’t the one I ended up taking though. The sweater sleeve is a little chunky and made the coat sleeve a bit too tight so I wore another one instead.

But on this occasion, it was all about the shoes. These super soft and comfy shoes that I can’t wait to wear again! Calla Shoes – I HEART you <3 <3
