I’m not a gardener, in fact I’m pretty useless when it comes to plants (if this was my domain, everything would probably be dead – good job, then, that Michael is a keen gardener!) but I do love spending time in the garden, especially if it’s a lovely day. And as it was such a beautiful day on Saturday, I couldn’t resist snapping a few shots of my Algarve garden to share with you. So please… step into my garden…
Poppy the cat
The lemons are almost all gone this year but we had a bumper crop as usual!
The Datura is such a beautiful plant with the most gorgeous scent but sadly the flowers are falling off at the moment in readiness for the cooler weather.
We are very fortunate to have frogs come and visit us every now and again.
Aloe Vera – the perfect plant to have in the garden to help ease any nastiness like sunburn.
The candle we once lit indoors and were completely smoked out! It’s been outside in the garden ever since.
This picture inspires me… I see a tall creature with long spindly arms!
There’s nothing better than the smell of freshly cut grass.
Bay leaves!
Our banana tree gives me the heebie jeebies. It grew like a monster (think Jack and the beanstalk) and it sways and scrapes on the side of the house – scaring the life out of me!
A beautiful acorn tree but boy does it make a mess when it starts dropping all its acorns!
My lovely little summer house where I sometimes work.
Our girls: Roxy and little Luna
