If ever there were a colour that perfectly embodied enchantment, mystery, and a touch of the divine, it would be purple. Deep, rich shades of amethyst, plum, and indigo have long been associated with royalty, magic, and the unknown, making purple one of the most powerful and intriguing colours in existence. And, as anyone who knows me will tell you, it’s also one of my absolute favourites. All of these images in this post are some of my favourite purple AI images created over the past year or so.

A Colour Fit for Royalty
For centuries, purple was the colour of kings, queens, and emperors. It was once so rare and expensive to produce that only the wealthiest could afford to wear it. The famous Tyrian purple dye, extracted from thousands of tiny sea snails, was worth more than gold in ancient times. Perhaps that’s why purple still carries an air of luxury and power—something about it just feels regal.

The Magic and Mystery of Purple
Purple is a colour woven through myth, legend, and the supernatural. It’s often linked to psychic ability, intuition, and the mysterious in-between spaces of the universe. In spiritual circles, purple is the colour of the crown chakra, the energy centre that connects us to the divine and higher realms. It’s the shade of spell books, wizard robes, and twilight skies—the very essence of magic.

I can’t help but be drawn to deep purples when I think of fantasy worlds and ancient mysteries. There’s something about a dark violet sky or the rich hue of an old, leather-bound grimoire that stirs the imagination. It’s the colour of dreamers, mystics, and those who dance between reality and fantasy.

Purple in Nature
Despite its association with wealth and magic, purple is also a colour found in nature’s most stunning creations. The delicate petals of a violet, the shimmering wings of a butterfly, the deep allure of a ripe plum—all beautiful reminders that nature itself has a mystical touch.

And let’s not forget the skies at dusk, when the sun dips below the horizon, painting the heavens in shades of indigo and violet. That fleeting moment, where day and night merge into one, is pure magic.

Wearing and Surrounding Yourself with Purple
Purple isn’t just a colour; it’s a statement. It can be bold and dramatic or soft and mysterious. Wearing it makes me feel powerful, creative, and just a little bit otherworldly. I love incorporating rich purples into my wardrobe, my home, and even my creative work—it’s a colour that sparks imagination and invites a sense of wonder.

Whether it’s the regal energy of deep plum, the mystical charm of amethyst, or the dreamy softness of lavender, purple is a colour that has always held a special place in my heart. It’s the colour of magic, mystery, and majesty—all the things that make life a little more enchanting.
