I love adding sparkle to an outfit – whether it’s super sparkly jewellery, a sparkly handbag, a scarf or sparkly shoes, it often adds a bit of fun (or drama) to whatever I’m wearing. Sparkly shoes are something I’ve always adored. My dream shoes would definitely be Dorothy’s ruby slippers – I’ve been looking for some for years but still haven’t found the right pair. Hopefully you’ll see me wearing some on the blog soon 🙂
For now though, I’ll make do with my fun gold sparkly Vans which I purchased a couple of years ago. Initially, I had been drawn to the black sparkly ones but struggled to find them in my size and then I stumbled across these gold ones… and they were in the sale at the time. Bonus! They are quite a ‘loud’ pair of shoes so I usually wear them with a relatively simple outfit – black skinny jeans and a black top, for instance. People always comment on them. They’re such fun, don’t you think?
As for the summer time, I was absolutely delighted to find these gorgeous gold slightly sparkly sandals from Zara Home. Yes, Zara Home! Not only is the colour stunning, but the pattern too. I wore them a lot in July and August with a whole host of outfits. They’re super cute and also super comfortable. I’m actually a little sad to be putting them away until next year. Almost… my excitement for winter-wear outweighs it!
As for handbags, this silver one is a favourite of mine. It was a gift from a good friend a few years ago ( I think she bought it from M&S) and I use it a lot – I love the sparkliness of it, but also the fact that it’s big enough to carry loads of stuff, like a cardigan for example.
