It wasn’t until I started this blog that I discovered a deeper interest in fashion, I don’t mean fashion as in the latest trends about what I should or shouldn’t be wearing (I wouldn’t take any notice anyway – I wear what I want to wear), I mean what goes on behind the scenes and everything related to fashion. I love scanning through all the latest style blogs, watching Project Runway and America’s Next Top Model, for instance. I’ve also developed a love for magazines that I wouldn’t have really bothered with before, like Vogue, for example. I’m really quite intrigued about all that is involved within the fashion industry, which is why I love these videos with Alexa Chung.
They’re all about the future of fashion, how to break into fashion (there are so many careers within it, you’d be surprised), social media and the fashion industry, and much more. Alexa, with her cheeky sense of humour (she has a tendency to swear a little bit!), really got me hooked. There’s only six episodes at the moment but there will be more next year and I can’t wait to see what she, and Vogue (it’s a collaboration between them both), have in store for us.
If you have teenage kids, or grandkids, interested in breaking into the fashion industry, I highly recommend you share these videos with them, they’re very useful (do be mindful that Alexa does like to swear a little bit though!)
