I’m totally in love with this coat. Isn’t it divine? I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity this month to collaborate with the total awesome Alice’s Pig, who very kindly sent me this stunning coat. Haven’t heard of them? Well, you should. They have the most amazing clothes – all with a vintage twist, which I just adore.
Wonderland
“Wonderland is everywhere, so you’d better be dressed for it”
Alice’s Pig was created by Amanda & Nico, who were inspired by great aunt Alice, who said “Wonderland is everywhere, so you’d better be dressed for it”. Pop on over to their site and check out their ‘Story’ section. It’s wonderful.
Slow Fashion
But back to their clothes – they practise slow fashion as opposed to fast fashion. Here’s what they say:
“Fast fashion made people forget how much time and effort goes into a well-designed high quality garment. At Alice’s Pig we do slow fashion. We only design a maximum of 80 styles each year to guarantee the best quality possible for our customers. Every style is a statement piece and gets the attention and care it deserves.”
Vintage Twist
If you like clothes with a vintage twist, then you’re going to LOVE Alice’s Pig. AND, they deliver worldwide for free! Isn’t that something else? I love that each garment has it’s own name. This coat, for example, is Debbie’s Dallas. There’s also Stefanie’s Stitch, Polly’s Parka, Lainey’s Lacing, and loads more. I bet Amanda & Nico must have so much fun coming up with the names!
Debbie’s Dallas
Priced at £145.00, Debbie’s Dallas is made of thick wool blend fabric and features deep side pockets and a full pleated skirt as well as a silky viscose contrast lining and vintage buttons. It’s a tad heavy so I won’t be taking it on my holiday but I’ll certainly be looking forward to wearing it loads on my return home! As it said on the website, this particular coat comes up a tad large but I love it because I’ll be able to wear thick wooly jumpers beneath it when it’s really chilly.
I hope you’ll go and check out Alice’s Pig because, for want of a better word, they’re simply wonderful and their logo is pretty divine too, don’t you think?
As for the rest of my outfit, I decided on something simple. So I opted for blue skinny jeans and a tight grey polo neck jumper, my Massimo Dutti knee high suede boots and this fabulous handbag which was a gift from mother-in-law last Christmas.
Come and check out my brand new WEEKLY TOP PICKS! Some of the things that have caught my eye whilst doing a little online shopping. I’ll be sharing exciting new things each and every week so do keep coming back for more!
