My Altered Helix Review
There is so much going on in this book, that I must admit to having been fairly confused through quite a bit of it. The story felt like it was being told via a dreamlike world…hopping from one dream to another. Although each segment was fascinating, I wanted to know more detail about what was happening and why, but then it would transition to another major event before we had the chance to learn more.
Having said that, I was quickly and easily drawn in to the characters’ lives. I loved the unusual premise of Altered Helix, and the idea that the main character had stronger DNA than the norm. I also liked the author’s style of writing. I just wish the story went into much more depth to help clarify all the questions I had.
