Sunscreen is one of those things that we should all be using on a daily basis. Especially those of us that live in a particularly sunny country. As I write this though, it’s still not a typical June day for the Algarve. It’s windy, chilly and overcast, with the threat of rain hovering. It’s probably the weirdest June I can remember in the 32 years I’ve been living here! But I digress, back to the sunscreen. I’m often guilty of forgetting to put on sunscreen unless I’m sunbathing by the pool or chilling out at the beach.
These days there are loads of sunscreen brands to choose from and sometimes it can be difficult to decide which one to buy. Personally, I dislike ones that are too thick, too sticky, those that smell too strong (unless it’s coconut – I do love the scent of coconut on the beach!) and those that are too expensive. So when I received this bottle of Altruist sunscreen, I was eager to give it a try.
Consultant Dermatologist
Developed by Consultant Dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon Dr Andrew Birnie in partnership with some of the best formulation scientists in Europe, Altruist has a broad range of photostable UV filters, including the most advanced filter Tinosorb A2B.
Altruist sunscreen is very easily absorbed, non-sticky and leaves no residue. It’s also hypoallergenic, fragrance free and easily affordable. I’ve only used it once due to the weird weather we’re having, but I was suitably impressed and I shall certainly be using it when the summer actually arrives! Altruist suncream is also available in Factor 50.
Here’s what Altruist say about their product

I received a complimentary bottle of Altruist sunscreen but all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
