Another Christmas gift guide for grown up friends and family

After the success of last week’s Christmas gift guide, I decided to do another one this week. And I might even do one a week until mid December – purely for the fun of finding gorgeous gifts for grown up family members and friends and colleagues.

Christmas gift guide

Heat Holders from The Sock Shop

In today’s Christmas gift guide, I’m going to start with something I received from The Sock Shop that I’m wearing right now – something so warm and snuggly that I can’t imagine ever taking them off (well, not until next Spring anyway). I’m talking about Heat Holders. You’ve probably heard of them before but have you tried them? If you suffer from cold tootsies, I seriously urge you to give them a try. Here is what they say…

Heat Holders Lite™ thermal socks are designed to provide our famous thermal protection in a medium thick profile. Ideal for wearing in casual fitting shoes.

They are four times warmer than a basic cotton sock! Sounds like perfection to me. And I can tell you, they work and that’s what really matters. When you’ve got cold feet, you feel cold all over, right? I hate that! Not any more, not with these beauties…

Even Luna gave her seal of approval for these babies 😉

Seriously though, these would make the perfect Christmas gift for pretty much everyone in your life, male or female, young or older. And they’re not pricey, which often makes the world of difference. Available from The Sock Shop for just £9.99. And speaking of The Sock Shop, you’ll find the world’s largest selection of socks there, not to mention underwear, tights and accessories.

Not only do I have cold feet, I also suffer with cold hands too, especially in January/February when I’m working at the computer. So these light brown fingerless cashmere mittens from Black would be perfect. If you’re looking for a gift for someone who spends a lot of time typing, you can’t go wrong with these. Available in other colours too. Cost £33.

For something completely different for the man in your life, how about a Coach leather baseball paperweight? It caught my eye for it’s originality and paperweights always come in handy! Available from Coach for £60.

A men’s Fair Isle scarf, hat and gloves set from Cotton Traders is the ideal gift for a man who likes to get a bit of fresh air. Stylish and affordable too. Just £25 for all three!

This knitted wrap with cashmere from Hope Fashion will keep your female friend warm and stylish this winter. Undoubtedly a beautiful gift for a special woman in your life. Priced at £45.

I have my own Knomo laptop handbag and I absolutely love it, so when I spotted this gorgeous grey Messenger bag, I figured it would make a perfect gift for a man or a woman who has to travel with their laptop. Priced at £89.

If you’re looking for a gift for a cyclist, you can’t go wrong with this Purist water bottle from Lululemon. My hubby is looking at bottles just like this at the moment because he wants to avoid chemicals. Priced at £18.

Almost every woman covets the perfect nude lipstick and this collection of three gorgeous matt shades from Bare Minerals is a great gift. Priced at £32.

Although perfume can be such a personal thing to choose, I love to receive it as a gift – either one I already know, or to discover new scents. For example, this Estee Lauder Beautiful set smell divine. I know that because I’ve had it before and loved it. This set includes 30ml eau de parfum and 75 ml body lotion, Heaven in a bottle! Worth £50, priced at £40.

This gorgeous book sold by Mint Velvet and written by make-up and skin expert Wendy Rowe will teach you how to keep your skin healthy and let your inner and outer beauty shine. Priced at £20.

The second I spotted these ringlet drop earrings I had to stop and stare at them for a second. Aren’t they simply gorgeous? They’re actually recycled brass. Cool, huh? Available at People Tree for £79.

How fun are these Charlotte Simone mules from Superga? They’re totally bonkers but perfect for the quirky girl in your life, and priced at £80.

How about a piece of art? Wouldn’t it make the most fantastic Christmas gift? And it doesn’t have to break the bank either. Opt for a print instead of an original painting at Art Gallery UK. if you’re worried about the cost. Or if you’re looking for that someone special, choose something a little more original, perhaps. There’s hundreds of beautiful pieces of art to choose from. For instance, this unusual and incredibly beautiful painted scallop shell by Claudie Perone took my breath away. Those colours are just divine! I could sit and gaze at their website for hours on end!
