When planning for a holiday, one of my first thoughts is what handbag will I use? If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know that I hate to be uncomfortable and that includes what I’m carrying on my shoulders. For holidays (or even a long day shopping), a hand-held bag is a no-no for me. I need something that will allow me to go hands-free. So it’s got to be a rucksack or a cross body bag. And because I also worry about safety whilst travelling, a rucksack can be a bit iffy so the cross body bag usually wins. I started searching online a couple of months before I went on holiday and stumbled upon a site called Baggallini.
It was founded by two flight attendants who wanted a stylish travel companion with plenty of pockets to help them move from place to place. Once they’d found some people who could help them make exactly that, the cabin crew all wanted to know where they got them, with the passengers following suit. And Baggallini was born. That was twenty years ago. Now the company have a wonderful selection of ‘baggs’ to choose from. And, to be honest, they’re great for every day, not just travelling.
Baggallini very kindly sent me a sample to try out for myself and it’s been brilliant. Usually, whilst on holiday, I suffer with shoulder ache and have to keep swapping my bag from one shoulder to the other. I used it the whole time we were in the States and I barely had any shoulder ache – even when it was full of stuff for the flights. And when it came to carrying everything, from passports, wallets, glasses cases, tissues (and germ killing wet wipes!), boarding passes, sweets, phones, car chargers, satnav, etc, the Baggallini bag worked like a charm. With numerous pockets inside and out, I never once lost anything like I usually do.

And the added bonus was this genius ‘pocket’ with a zip at the bottom which allowed for the handbag to be slotted onto my carry-on case. Perfect for perusing the shops in the airport!
Simply put, I couldn’t be more happy with my Baggallini bag and could quite easily be tempted to buy another (or two!). Another added bonus is that they’re not expensive. This ‘Everywhere Bagg‘ is priced at $85.
If you follow me on Instagram, you will probably have already noticed my Baggallini handbag because it was glued to my side the whole trip!
