OMG, I am so excited to write this post because I freaking ADORE my new tee! I think it’s so important to embrace our inner child and be the strange we want to be. And what better way to showcase that than with this fun t-shirt featuring Wednesday Addams from my current favourite TV show, Wednesday on Netflix. I’ve watched it two and a half times already. It’s like it was written for me lol. Sorry about the crappy photos…I ran out of time yesterday as I was on my way to get my nails and only managed to get these two half decent shots near the beach. You can’t actually see (because I tucked the tee into my jeans at the front to give it a better shape as it’s an oversized tee), but beneath the photo it says the words, ‘be the strange you want to be’.
I absolutely love my new t-shirt and the message it conveys. It’s a reminder that we should never be afraid to express ourselves and be a little bit quirky. It’s okay to stand out and be different. In fact, it’s what makes us unique and interesting! The photo below is a good one to demonstrate what I mean lol
So often, as we get older, we start to conform to societal norms and expectations. We worry about what others might think or say about us. But why should we care? We should be true to ourselves and embrace our weirdness, right?! Whether it’s wearing a funky t-shirt, dying our hair a crazy colour, or pursuing a passion that others might find unusual, we should always be true to ourselves.
I think it’s important to tap into our inner child every now and then. Remember the days when we would dress up in crazy costumes, dance like no one was watching, and sing at the top of our lungs? Those were some of the best times! As we get older, we tend to lose that sense of playfulness and creativity. But we shouldn’t! We should continue to have fun and express ourselves in whatever way feels right.
So, whether you’re 20 or 80, be the strange you want to be! Embrace your quirks, celebrate your uniqueness, and don’t be afraid to stand out from the crowd. Life is too short to conform to so-called societal norms. Let’s all be a little weird and a lot of fun! And remember, it’s never too late to embrace your inner child and have a blast doing it!
