As a kid, blue was never a colour I was remotely interested in. Blue was for boys, pink was for girls (I sound so ancient). That would stick with me until I grew up and realised that the beauty of blue is, in fact, that it’s a gorgeous colour on pretty much everybody and the deeper the shade, the better (for me anyway). It’s probably my favourite colour right now. On the other hand, I do love to see men in pink too – again, the deeper the shade, the sexier it looks. A great pink shirt or polo is just mmm mmm mmm, right?
I bought this dress a few years ago from H&M. I fell in love with it the moment I laid eyes on it but I didn’t buy it straight away (I can be such an idiot sometimes). I have this awful tendency of talking myself out of buying something, then I’ll go back a week later and it’ll be gone and I feel stupid for not buying it in the first place. I am getting better… slowly. Luckily though, on this occasion, I did go back and bought this dress in the sales. YAY! Not that it was expensive to start with. It’s a pretty dress with a kind of faint brocade pattern throughout, perfect for dinners out, but being a bit figure hugging, I can’t eat too much 😉
As you probably know by now, I do love to spice up classic outfits with an added rock chick element so this time I chose my trusted Massimo Dutti leather jacket and a black necklace which is both timeless and edgy at the same time. As for the ring, Michael surprised me with it a year or so back. It was for our wedding anniversary. He said he saw it and was reminded of fairies and magic and knew immediately it was for me! Isn’t that sweet? He bought it from Swarovski.
The simple black shoe boots can be worn with just about anything and I do love items that are so versatile .
