Blue and orange is such a glorious colour combination and I particularly love blue jeans with orange. Do you? This is what I wore to have dinner with friends last night, and because there was a lovely cool breeze, jeans were a must. I bought this pair from Modalfa a couple of months ago and they cost me just 10 euros in the sale! Bargain, right? Modalfa is part of the Continente Supermarket chain—so it’s a bit like Asda’s George, for example.
We had five minutes before we left so I asked Michael to take a few photos of my outfit. It was the first time he’d tried my new camera and I think he loved it as much as I do! Earlier in the day, we’d taken Luna (our little dog) down to Alvor to walk her along the boardwalk and I took the camera with us then. It was nice to have someone else to photograph for a change—because it’s usually me taking self portraits. Speaking of which, my latest photos are up on my other blog. I hope you’ll check it out. There are a couple that I really love! One even looks a bit steampunk! You can also see them on my other Insta account which is now purely for my photography and books.
But back to my blue jeans with orange outfit…like last week’s post about my The Child tee, this is also a really simple look. But sometimes, simple looks are the best. I was very comfortable in my Calla sandals, wide-legged jeans and Zara vest. I even matched my jewellery (amber ring and necklace, gifts from my mother-in-law) to the orange vest and sandals! Oh, and I added an orange scrunchy to my hair lol. I bought this one last week from Primark. It reminds me of the colours I wore back in the 80s when I was a kid. Do you remember all those fabulous luminous shades?!
