The past few weeks seem to have gone by in a bit of a blur… it’s been one casual night out after another with hubby’s brother and two nephews visiting. And because they haven’t been over for quite a few years, there was plenty of catching up to do! It was truly wonderful to see them again, and we couldn’t believe how much the boys men have grown. I felt like the tiniest person on the planet around them (the tallest is about 6ft 4 now!).
So even though we had lots of nights outs, I had a complete break from blogging and didn’t take a single outfit shot. Boring, I know, but sometimes you just have to leave the camera at home and chill out. The last time we took any outfit shots was a few weeks ago and even then, we clearly weren’t in the right frame of mind (no pun intended) because we neglected to take any full body shots! Plus the fact that it was a very simple, casual night out outfit anyway – some might even call it boring.
The perfect casual night out outfit
Personally, I don’t think it’s boring at all. In fact, it’s probably one of my favourite looks. Blue jeans and a white tee-shirt looks good on just about anybody. And when I see it on a sexy man, I probably go a bit weak at the knees lol (obviously I’m talking about hubby!).
Team it with heels if you’re going for a dressier look or with a simple pair of Converse if you know you’re going to be on your feet a little too long for heels. Add a statement necklace and you’re good to go. Easy peasy, comfortable and relaxed. The perfect casual night out outfit, right?
A little extra warmth
For a little extra warmth, I added a thin, waterfall cardigan which I clearly adore. It’s literally starting to wear out from all the use it’s had over the past few years. I seriously need to find myself another one. I bought it from a cheap Chinese shop and now I wished I’d have bought an extra one to boot!
Add to that my favourite little black messenger bag which I bought from a surf shop a few years ago and I was ready to hit the slopes… erm, I mean hit the restaurant!
