Oh we had fun! I’m talking about escootering around the Algarve yesterday. We didn’t do the whole of the Algarve though lol. Just around my local towns of Alvor and Praia da Rocha. Two places that have the most incredible beaches and are very popular with tourists. And we didn’t escooter there, we drove to Alvor first lol.
We met up just before lunch in Alvor, and escootered all the way through town and across the beach towards Praia da Rocha. It was such a glorious day for it too. We ate vegan sushi at our favourite restaurant before stopping for a vegan Magnum, then zoomed along the beachfront before heading back towards Alvor again. You can check out most of the trip in the video, below (obviously on fast forward lol), but do have a look and you’ll be able to see the beautiful place where I live. The towns of Alvor and Praia da Rocha are just fifteen minutes drive from my home.
But boy were we tired when we got home. Not from the exertion (because…well…electric scooters lol!), but because we’d had a little bit too much sun! The last time we went out, I wore my basketball cap. I didn’t wear it this time because it’s pink and didn’t go with my outfit (!). I clearly need to buy a few more, don’t I?! And Michael didn’t wear a hat either. So, I guess we both need to go hat shopping before our next excursion escootering around the Algarve!
It really has been the most wonderful weekend though. Saturday afternoon was spent lounging around the pool reading on my iPad, luckily I kept my head in the shade (with a big floppy hat) but I got a little sunburnt on my feet and legs. Yesterday I had the hindsight to cover myself with sunscreen before we headed out for the day. What did you get up to this weekend?
