Loose-fitting and comfortable: a top for everyday wear

I don’t usually wear such loose-fitting clothes like this – not even for everyday wear – but I was very kindly gifted this top from Goose Collection and I must admit, I think I’m converted. I knew it had to be worn with something tight fitting on the lower half which meant leggings or skinny jeans. As all my leggings seem to be for yoga, I chose a pair of blue skinnies. Can you believe I don’t own any leggings for everyday wear? I seriously need to remedy that situation…stat!

Let’s face it, there are many days when you need something loose-fitting and comfortable and this top is going to be my go-to top from now on. Not only does it have a pretty bird print, but it’s made from a linen knit making it hang beautifully. When I go shopping for leggings, I’ll be keeping this top in mind. The blue-grey shade (they call it clay online) could be considered a neutral colour, so I reckon it will go with many different colour options. I do like it with jeans though, and I do own rather a lot of those lol.

As you can see in the image above, I added a long sleeved t-shirt underneath to keep me extra warm. Even though we had a beautiful blue sky, it was actually a really cold morning, hence the scarf and coat! But that’s the beauty of this top – it’s thick enough to wear now, but will also be a great top to wear as the weather warms up.

Speaking of the scarf, I’ve got tonnes of those too and I ummed and ahhed about which one to wear. In the end I opted for a solid colour not to clash with the bird print – although my animal print scarf was another option. More about my scarves later in the week though 🙂

If you’re a regular reader, you might be wondering about my footwear… yes, they’re new! Aren’t they fab? I actually bought them from a Converse outlet whilst we were in the States last month. They were a bargain too (YAY!) and they’re waterproof which is handy. I love the colour because they’ll go with everything. I know I’ll get loads of wear out of them over the next few years. I’m a bit obsessed with Converse. You might remember last week I wore my other new pair, the sparkly gold ones in this post about velvet.

Goose Collection

But back to the Goose Collection, a Derbyshire-based business that was created to help women be comfortable in their everyday wear…

Goose is all about being comfortable in what we are wearing. This is the general ethos of the range, ‘Feel good in Goose’ being the current message.
We think we have achieved a collection that transcends the seasons. Easy wear winners in premium yarns and lightweight layers with exceptionally soft hand feel.

Judging by the top they sent me and the products available online, I would say they’ve achieved that. I look forward to seeing more of the Goose Collection in the coming years.
