I love fairytales, don’t you? So when I stumbled across this Evil Queen tee-shirt in my local supermarket a few weeks ago, I couldn’t resist it. And it was an absolute bargain in the sale at 2.99! If there had been some other characters I would have snapped them up too. But sadly, there wasn’t.
I’m always drawn to clothes (especially tees) that have some element of magic, fairytales or even sci-fi on them. I think it’s the little girl in me trying to get out. And I do let her out, quite often in fact, because I think it is so important to our mental health to have fun. Just being silly sometimes is so soothing and I highly recommend it! For example, when I put on this Evil Queen tee I couldn’t resist posting a silly video on TikTok (below).
I have to say, I’m becoming quite ‘obsessed’ with TikTok! I never thought I would, but there is some hilarious content on there that just has me in fits of giggles. It’s the perfect way to unwind, especially if you’re feeling a bit low. I love it!
But back to my love of all things related to fairytales, magic, etc. I’ve got several tees that reflect this, including Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Darth Vader, The Child (Baby Yoda) and more. I get so excited when I see something I can wear that shows off my love of such things. My Mother-in-law bought me a fabulous witchy top for Christmas. I haven’t worn it on the blog yet but I will soon!
As for my Evil Queen tee, I tend to just wear it with a pair of jeans during the day or with some tracksuit bottoms in the evenings when we’re just chilling out. I thought about wearing it with something dressy, like a really girlie long skirt but I just wasn’t in the mood on this occasion. I’m sure I will show you what that does look like another time though! Speaking of girlie skirts, I ordered a pink ruffled tulle skirt from Amazon last week and it arrived yesterday and it’s teeny weenie lol! And it’s an XL! I love it though so I’m going to see if they do it in an XXL. Fingers crossed that they do, because I was hoping to wear it for one of my creative self portrait photoshoots!
This outfit though, is just an everyday outfit. Rather boring but it does the job lol. I’m wearing my Evil Queen tee with a new pair of black jeans from H&M (I think they called them slim fit mom jeans or something like that). I’m really pleased with them. When it’s a bit too warm, I roll the hems up a bit. I’m also wearing a pair of sandals that I bought from Lidl last year. I know, Lidl is an odd place to buy shoes but they were exactly what I was looking for at the time. Sadly, they’re a little narrow for my feet so they’re not overly comfortable for this style of sandal (they’re kind of like Birkenstocks). Perhaps I’ll find a better pair this summer? Hm…mission sandals? Sounds like a plan 😉
