If you’ve been following the blog lately, you’ll have noticed a few posts mentioning Filine Fashion so I thought it about time I introduced you to the actual shop and the woman behind it.
Located at the east end of Armação de Pêra, Filine Fashion – the shop has been in existence for over 10 years and it’s owner, Fiona Morton is always on hand to offer help and advice for women looking for quality clothing at sensible prices.
Originally, Fiona’s shop was located within the Hotel Garbe (now Holiday Inn Algarve) and was known as Simply Susan, before it became Collections (both franchises) and finally, Fiona started her own company, aptly named Filine (pronounced Feline) Fashion.
Her little shop is welcoming, just like Fiona herself, who I’ve known for quite a few years and she never fails to crack a smile – actually, she’s one of those people that always seems cheery and has a cracking sense of humour!
The shop is packed full of lovely clothes in all shapes and sizes, “I like to stock items that suit real women, not stick insects – clothes that wash and wear well,” Fiona says with a grin as she helps a client look at the most beautiful scarf. Okay, so perhaps you recognise the client. Yes, it’s my pal Christine again!
You’ll also find some gorgeous, very affordable accessories, and a free alteration service so that each piece you buy fits you to perfection.
The other thing that’s great about shopping at Filine is that Fiona is happy for you to browse with no pressure to buy. It’s a laid back shopping experience, just the way I like it!
Filine is open Monday to Friday from 10am-1pm / 3-6pm and on Saturday from 10am-1pm. During the summer, the shop opens a little longer.
To find the shop, look out for the little boat roundabout (pictured below), and the shop is just up from the corner, up some steps (there is also a ramp).
