A floaty skirt, holidays and a name change for my YA books

floaty skirt

How are you all? I hope you’re enjoying August. All is well over here in the Algarve, it’s finally quite hot after months of strange weather, although yesterday the wind whipped up making it a bit uncomfortable to get into the pool! So, I totally chilled out and caught up with some of my favourite shows instead 🙂

This week, I’m on holiday from the Golf Shop, but I’m going to be really busy with my books. It’s time to get recording in my little studio! I’m really quite excited because the sound booth is finally set up, and the equipment is all ready to go.

Over the last week or so, I’ve also been hard at work preparing for the re-launch of my books. There’s so much to do… I’ve decided to ‘change’ my author name for all my YA books and just use Suzy Turner for my romance novels. My YA books will now be published under the name S.G Turner. The G is for my maiden name Greenwood, as I don’t have a middle name. Plus, I’m working hard re-doing all my covers to make them more updated. It’s all happening lol.

floaty skirt

As for my style post today, I decided to wear my floaty white skirt yesterday (before my TV binge and before it became windy lol) with a simple red vest. When it’s hot, I find floaty things to be the most comfortable, don’t you? I have worn this skirt on the blog before, with my Calla sandals. I bought the skirt from Faro Designer Outlet last year for 15 euros. You know how much I love a bargain!

The red vest is from Primark, which also has a great selection of colours. Although I prefer H&M’s vests, they don’t have the colour selection as Primark does. Needless to say, I’ve got tonnes of them. These sandals are my favourite day-time sandals for the summer months. They’re super comfortable and go with almost anything, as does the little handbag which I bought from Secret Sales a few years ago.

crystal bracelet

As for my jewellery, this is my new favourite bracelet. My friend Karen bought it for me last week. Isn’t it gorgeous? I love the little elephant. But it’s the fact that it’s made of crystal that really appeals. Hubby and I are hugely drawn to crystals at the moment and are planning to buy some more next weekend. But I’ll tell you more about that afterwards. The bracelet also goes really well with my beautiful Swarovski ring that I bought recently.

But I really should stop writing now because there’s so much to do! And my little dog Luna is sitting looking at me with her puppy dog eyes waiting for her morning walk! Have a wonderful week <3
