YAY! It’s finally just about cool enough to wear jeans again…well, in the evenings anyway lol. We went out for a bite to eat with friends earlier this week, and I forced myself out of my comfy shorts and made a bit of an effort. It seems like so long since we went out to a restaurant for dinner, and it was lovely to actually put my favourite Salsa jeans on again, alongside my new frilly floral top from Springfield.
In my last YouTube video, I had mentioned that I was trying to be good and only buying items that brought me joy and/or that were truly beautiful (which is kind of the same thing, isn’t it lol??!). We went to Ikea to look for a new rug, and while we were there, we ended up having a quick look in a couple of the shops in Mar Shopping Centre (where Ikea is located). Springfield was one such shop, and we only went in because it seemed to have had a makeover. Whilst there, Michael and I both spotted sale rails (I love me a sale rail). He ended up with about five t-shirts and I bought this gorgeous frilly floral top.
The fabric is really soft and the second I slipped it on in the changing room, I knew I had to have it! (Well, it did come under both the ‘joyful and truly beautiful categories!). Plus, it was an absolute bargain for 7.99! I couldn’t possibly say no! So, I wore it out to dinner with my Salsa jeans and pink M&S espadrilles, accessorised with my gold Massimi Dutti clutch (old) and various jewellery (all inherited).
We didn’t get the rug, by the way. It was so annoying that they didn’t have it in stock at the local store. We could order it, but we’d have to pay for delivery. They wouldn’t allow us to order it and collect it from the store ourselves! How ridiculous is that? So, out of principal, we didn’t order it all! Bummer. But Michael is going to Lisbon soon so he’ll pop in and buy it in store there instead.
I’ve not got much else to report this week, as I’ve had a bit of a bug that seems to be lingering a little too long, preventing me from doing much. Hopefully, next week, I’ll have achieved a lot more! What have you been up to?
