These photos of my gold and black outfit were taken a little while ago when the evenings were still quite warm and the sunsets were simply stunning. Having said that, the sunsets are almost always impressive here in the Algarve – as you can see from the photo.
On this occasion, we were off out for a bite to eat with friends. It was one of those evenings where I hadn’t planned what I would wear so it was all thrown together at the last minute. And, in my opinion, you can’t go wrong with a gold and black ensemble. I just love those two colours together, don’t you? There’s something very dramatic about them.
However, this isn’t a very dramatic gold and black outfit, is it?! It’s very simple and the gold accents are very subtle but still, it is a favourite. Black skinny jeans (from a Levi’s outlet store in the States), a Massimo Dutti blouse combined with gold and black wedge espadrilles from my local Portuguese shoe store, Calçado Guimarães. I also added my favourite Massimo Dutti gold clutch and the cutest owl necklace which was a gift from an old friend (I absolutely adore owls).
I haven’t had much of a chance to take many outfit photos lately. Mostly because I wasn’t very well for a while (I’m better now yay!). Plus the fact that we didn’t have enough time to take any whenever we got dressed up to go out. This is usually due to hubby running late because he’s so busy with work. I certainly can’t complain about that though, can I?
When we do get an extra five minutes to take some photos, hubby is rushing so much that the photos often end up a tad on the blurry side (as you can see here!). Perhaps it’s time I got myself a remote control for my Nikon camera? Do you use one? If so, I’d love to know how you get on with it? Any advice?
