I rarely wear dresses, but this is the second time I’ve donned one in a week! That’s twice I’ve actually got my legs out (thank goodness for flesh coloured tights is all I can say!). This time, I decided to wear the khaki shirt dress I bought a couple of years ago from H&M with my tan ankle boots from Timberland. I’ve always loved this kind of casual dress with ankle boots—there’s something kind of cool about it, right? Not to mention the fabulous colour combination. Khaki and tan is a match made in heaven. I found this cute little white cardigan in a local charity shop late last year and it just gave me a little extra warmth because it was quite windy when we took these photos.
I wore the khaki shirt dress ensemble to go out for a drive to Mar Shopping (again!) for a bite to eat for lunch, before we ended up in a shop buying another e-scooter for me lol. Yes, I finally succumbed after the boys telling me that I must join them in their little adventures. I’m so glad I did, because we spent several hours having so much fun the following day, scootering around our local town before heading to the seaside for some vegan sushi.
I was a bit wobbly to start with, but I soon got the hang of it, although I’m not terribly steady on the cobbles. They cause a lot of vibration, leading to my glasses wobbling so much that I could barely see! Fortunately, I had another eye test last week and have new glasses coming, so they might be a better fit for scootering lol.
But back to the khaki dress outfit—you might have noticed something else rather fabulous that is new, and that’s this gorgeous royal blue handbag. Isn’t it gorgeous? It was one of my Christmas gifts from my MIL. You know why I love it so much? It reminds me of the Disney movie, Encanto. When I watched it for the first time a couple of months ago, I completely fell in love with it—plus, I wanted to recreate Mirabel’s beautiful colourful outfit lol! This bag seems like a good start, don’t you think?
The bag actually came with a different strap, a thinner one, but I much prefer thicker straps for comfort, so I bought a couple of thick straps that I can use with any of my bags, and the rainbow striped one looked perfect with this blue handbag. I did some research online and my favourite straps (at the time) were from Oliver Bonas. They’re the perfect thickness and were very reasonably priced. There’s quite a nice selection too. I got this rainbow one and an orange and navy patterned one 🙂 Here are all the ones they have at the moment…
But that’s enough about me, what have you been up to this week? I hope you’ll share in the Neverending Style link-up, below. Last week, I was very late and published it over the weekend and there were hardly any entries as a result DOH. Let’s hope this week is different!
