Gosh, I had fun creating this image! I’ve named it Lightning Witch for obvious reasons lol. I knew I wanted to dress as a witch because I bought this witch’s broom during my brief shopping trip last week. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to have it. That, and the fact that I bought these awesome black and white tights for Halloween last year and they didn’t arrive in time!
And then the other day, I ordered a long red wig from Amazon. It didn’t take long for me to choose this one with its fabulous length and ombre colour. Isn’t it gorgeous? It arrived within a couple of days, so yesterday I got all dressed up in my black outfit and striped tights and headed outdoors with my broom in tow. And then, the delivery man appeared lol. He must’ve thought I was a bit of a nutcase (he wouldn’t be the first)!
Once he’d made his delivery, I continued with my little photoshoot in my back garden using my brand spanking new camera until I was content with this particular image. I still hadn’t quite decided on the final concept when I began editing it in Affinity Photo though (which is never the best idea). Once I’d removed the witch and her broomstick from the background, I went and shot some photos for the sky. It was only then that I felt the need for some lightning lol. And thus, Lightning Witch was born.
I’m looking forward to seeing what other witches I can create in the future, however, my next image is going to be a bride! Perhaps I ought to create a witch bride? Something like the Corpse Bride lol. Gosh, I love that movie, haven’t seen it for ages. Hm…. time for some escapism, me thinks!
Speaking of escapism, I just watched Truth Seekers on Amazon Prime. Have you seen it? It was freaking brilliant, so funny! Very English, if you know what I mean. I can’t recommend it enough. I really hope there’s going to be more seasons in the future!
