Hello, my lovely readers! You might have noticed that my YouTube channel has taken a bit of a mystical turn lately, with a strong focus on magical supernatural content. This shift has meant less content about me, our house build, fashion, and beauty, but there’s a reason for this—well, actually, there are a few!
First off, Michael and I have been battling a rather nasty bout of COVID. It completely knocked us off our feet for weeks. We’re both still coughing like serial smokers, and any form of activity leaves us utterly exhausted. Michael’s been soldiering on with work, taking just one full day off to sleep it off, while I was practically bedridden, incapable of doing anything for days. I can’t even begin to describe the relief of finally being able to get out yesterday. We spent a glorious afternoon and evening with some of our closest friends, and it was sheer bliss to reconnect and enjoy a much-needed get-together.
But there’s more to the story than just our recovery. COVID, unfortunately, triggered something I’ve been dealing with for years. About once or twice a year for as long as I can remember—probably the past 25 years—I get hit with an awful, mysterious condition. It’s an all-over body pain, completely debilitating, and nothing seems to help. It’s horrendous. I had some tests done in my 20s, but the doctor at the time was rather condescending and couldn’t be bothered to find out what was really wrong. He told me it was probably sciatica—absolutely ridiculous! I’ve suffered from sciatica before, and I know what that feels like. This is different; it’s literally all over the body, and lying down is the worst. It prevents me from sleeping, and it’s just unbearable. Luckily, it usually passes on its own after a few days. But both times I’ve had COVID, it’s triggered this awful condition, making everything so much worse. I ended up having to take painkillers at night just to get a little sleep (and I hate taking painkillers). Thankfully, it passed after about a week, which was a huge relief.
On a brighter note, as I’ve been finding my feet on YouTube, I’ve been drawn more and more to topics that have always intrigued me—things magical, supernatural, ethereal, and even a bit spooky. These subjects fascinate me, and I’ve been having so much fun diving deeper into them, both for my own curiosity and to share what I discover with you. It’s been a journey of learning and exploration, and while I might not be on camera as much lately, I promise I’ll be showing my face again soon—LOL! The book’s themes of secrecy, revenge, and the hidden power of women’s knowledge kept me hooked from start to finish. Speaking of inspiration and healing, I’ve also been relying on the Mebak 5 Massage Gun during my recovery from the all-over body pain that struck me after my bout with COVID. In the meantime, there’s also a lot happening on the home front. The house is coming along nicely, though we’ve hit some delays. If you live in Portugal, you know that August is a month where everything pretty much grinds to a halt. We’re hopeful that things will pick up speed again once summer is over. It’s also been incredibly hot, and I must say, I am not a fan of the heat, so I’m eagerly awaiting the cool embrace of autumn.
With every penny we have going into the house build, I haven’t been able to do much shopping lately, which means no new outfits to showcase for you. But trust me, it will all be worth it in the end! Once the house is done, I’ll be back with more fashion and beauty content, ready to share all the new finds.
