Hey! How are you all doing? It’s been a while since I wrote anything about myself here on the blog, and if you’ve visited over the past week or so, you might have noticed some changes. Well, I’m happy to report that I’m making positive changes to many aspects of my life, including the blog.
Me, myself and I
Over the past few months, I’ve been working on me. Yes, you read that right. Me, myself and I. I was given a copy of You Can Heal Your Life (by Louise Hay) in my teens and I’ve been interested in such things ever since. However, the time has to be right in order to fully commit to yourself and the time for me, is now. Therefore, I’ve immersed myself in reading some amazing books as well as watching some truly wonderful documentaries, series and films – all about how to become the best you that you can possibly be. I’ve subscribed to an amazing website / channel called Gaia, and I’m like a woman obsessed. I can’t get enough of it all.
Gaia
Seriously, Gaia is an amazing site that covers numerous topics that really appeal to me, including alternative healing, ancient lost technology and secret space programs. It’s a real eye opener! It also has some wonderful yoga and meditation programs that I’ve been following.
Answer life’s deeper questions and go beyond the mainstream narrative with Gaia— a member-supported media network of truth seekers and believers empowering an evolution of consciousness. Explore over 8,000 ad-free, streaming titles that challenge modern paradigms and allow you to manifest the reality that defines your being.
Morning routine
My morning routine has changed a little bit in lieu of all this too. The first thing I do is drink a glass of water whilst walking barefoot outside on the grass, in order to ground myself (also called earthing). It sounds odd, but it wakes me up and helps me to start the day on such a positive note. Then (after feeding the animals!), I do half an hour of yoga, followed by 10-20 minutes of meditation. After that I make myself a cup of green (or detox) tea and sit on the grass to read a book for half an hour or so. The book must be something that I can learn from. For instance, I’ve read books by Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle and Jason Vale and I have a little pile of new and used books that I’m excited to start reading soon. I’ve just ordered Becoming Supernatural by Joe Dispenza and I’m really looking forward to that one. If you haven’t heard of him, I cannot recommend him enough. He is simply amazing. But I’ll tell you more in another post. Same for Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert – I can’t wait to read it!
Witchy stuff
Doing all this has also made me focus on my own passions, and I’ve come to realise that I wasn’t passionate enough about the book I was working on, so I decided to quit while I was ahead, and, instead, devote my time to writing fiction about something that I love – and have always loved – and that’s witchcraft, magic and all things mystical. So, I’ve given the blog and my logo a facelift to emphasize this. What do you reckon? Is it witchy enough?
I’ll write about my love of witchcraft in more detail another day, but for now, I just wanted to let you know what I’ve been up to and why I’ve changed things up a bit. I hope you’re all coping well.
Hugs
