Mum jeans or mom jeans (whatever you want to call them) – you either love ’em or you hate ’em. I love them. Hubby hates them. They can be very plain and very boring but if you jazz them up a bit, then they become way more fun, right?!
How to wear mum jeans
Yes if you wear mum jeans with old white trainers and a frumpy top, they’re going to look downright blah, but roll up the hems and team them with heels and the look instantly changes. Add to that some fun jewellery and you’ve got a winning outfit.
Hubby, on the other hand, still doesn’t like these ones so much. He reckons they make my bum look too flat – do I care? Not really 😉
Accessories
In this outfit, I added a brown buckle belt that I’ve had for years. I think it came free with a pair of shorts about twenty years ago lol. And it’s still good. I think this wooden bracelet and my brown suede wrap bracelet go really well with the belt too.
I couldn’t make up my mind which necklace to wear, so I figured I’d wear them both. Why not? The choker is a particular favourite that I wear a lot throughout the summer. It has a native American vibe that I’m a fan of. I pinched another of my hubby’s watches – this one is by BMW (surprisingly) and then I threw on my woolly cricket cardigan for some added warmth.
You might remember these shoes from another post recently but they were exactly right for this outfit and they’re super comfortable too. I do love all the darker browns in the accessories of this outfit – they just work together. probably because they’re all neutral tones. Luna seemed to love it too 😉
Ponytail
I was so excited last week because I realised my hair is finally long enough to put in a pony tail YAY! Okay, okay, so it’s a bit of a pathetic pony tail with my hair falling out all over the place but it is a pony tail nonetheless. So now when I’m having a bad hair day (I was here), I can now just whip it up into a little pony 🙂
How to make your eyes look amazing in photos
Here’s a close-up of one of the photos hubby took of me last week. Although there’s a few too many shadows, I do like the photo. I think it’s because my eyes look a bit ‘supernatural’. Here’s a trick: close your eyes until the photographer is ready to click, then open them just seconds before and bam – your eyes will look amazing!
