Hubby and I recently spent a wonderful afternoon with our Italian friends, Michele and Flavia, in the stunning Algarve west coast, where they run a charming B&B called Onda Vicentina. First, we went out for a bite to eat before returning to Onda Vicentina where we had an impromptu photoshoot with Michele (pronounced ‘Miquelay’), who is a very keen photographer.
Onda Vicentina B&B
Not only did I want to show you my simple outfit, but I also wanted you to see the beautiful Onda Vicentina B&B which welcomes guests throughout the year. If you check out their page on TripAdvisor, you’ll see that they are loved by visitors from all over the world, and are well worth a visit if you’re planning to come to Portugal.
Onda Vicentina is located in Vale da Telha, within an area of outstanding natural beauty called Costa Vicentina. It has some of the most beautiful beaches that you will ever see! This area is particularly popular with surfers from near and far, who frequent its beaches for it’s outstanding surfing conditions. Monte Clerigo and Arrifana beaches are the closest to Onda Vicentina. And they’re not just ideal for surfing – they’re wonderful for chilling out, not to mention people watching 😉 I’ve mentioned the west coast before on numerous occasions. And I also spent a month there in 2016 when I studied to become a yoga teacher.
Michele and Flavia have been living there for several years and have become very well established within the community. Their guests love them and their B&B so much that they often return – many becoming good friends with the couple. Now that’s a sign of a great B&B, isn’t it?!
My outfit
And now, back to my outfit. I was unsure what the weather would be like (it’s usually a bit colder in the west coast than where we live) so I knew I needed layers. I also knew I wanted to wear my velvet floral jacket. And for a change, I decided to wear clashing prints. A checked shirt with a floral jacket – it’s something I wouldn’t usually wear, but I quite liked it. A pair of skinny blue jeans, my pink brogues, a pair of very pretty pink dangly earrings and a bright orange handbag finished off the outfit. Like I said, it’s a simple look but one I just might repeat!
Can you tell from the photos that we had such a fun day out? Michele loves taking photos and so it made sense to ask him if he was willing to do the photos for this post!
We took photos in different locations throughout Onda Vicentina so you could see for yourselves how pretty it is up there – especially when the sun is shining!
HUGE thanks to Michele and Flavia for such a great day!
This is not a sponsored post. We just love these guys so much, that I wanted to tell you all about them 🙂
