When we went to the Outlet Shopping Centre last week, we popped into Decenio for my husband. It’s a shop he’s particularly fond of as they do really nice quality shirts. It’s not a shop I would go into myself but I happened across this little pale pink shift dress and I was really drawn to it. As you may already know, I adore pink. Vivid pinks suit me better than pale pink, but, occasionally, I do like to wear it. But it was the gentle ruffles that appealed to me. That and the fact that it was a shift dress. I do like shift dresses.
Anyway, I took this pale pink shift dress into the dressing room and as soon as I tried it on, I knew I had to have it The fact that it was only 19.90 euros helped of course! And the original price? 120 euros! OMG, right?! So I snapped it up. And my husband didn’t buy anything lol.
I wore the dress to a friend’s birthday dinner on Saturday night. We had a fabulous time, although it was WAY too hot and the live music was WAY too loud lol. But it was fun—so good to get out and hang out with such lovely friends and eat delicious food. When we got home, we sat with our feet in the pool for a bit because my feet and ankles were starting to swell! Do you get that? It happens to me every summer when temperatures soar. I’m definitely a true northern lass—I really ought to be living somewhere cold!
But back to the dress. It’s the perfect dress for the heat, although I now know why it was so cheap—it pulls really easily so you have to be very careful not to drag anything along it! Also, you can’t iron the ruffles so it is quite creased. But I don’t care. It’s a very pretty pale pink shift dress and I’m sure I’ll get lots of wear out of it. And because it’s such a pretty dress, I decided to accessorise it only with plain gold jewellery and a simple gold leather clutch.
I tried to get a couple of photos with Michael but he loves to fool around when the camera is out! This was the best one of him, although my eyes look a bit weird lol! Did you link up your posts to the Neverending Style Link-Up yet? Don’t forget!
