I love pink and blue together. It’s such a fun colour combination that always works, regardless of what shade. My particular favourite shade of pink is fuchsia – the brighter the better! And it’s always been a colour that works with my skin tone – unlike the paler shades of pink that often wash me out. Dark blue, light blue, baby blue, midnight blue, navy – they all go well with fuchsia.
Last week when we popped out for a coffee and a stroll, I teamed this ancient pink top from Zara with my wide-legged blue trousers from Primark and this cute blue and white patterned shirt from Blanco (I bought it just before Blanco closed its shop in Aqua). I just fell in love with the pattern on it. And although the weather was warm, there was enough of a breeze to require something over my shoulders. I didn’t want to wear a cardigan or a jacket so I figured the next best thing was an open shirt.
The sandals are my current favourite pair of flats, perfect for the hot weather we’re experiencing at the moment. Every time I put them on, I regret not buying them in every colour when I had the chance (imagine how cute they’d be in pink and blue!). Too late now though, because the shop closed down 🙁 Sorry about the rubbish photo!
My white handbag with blue piping seemed like the perfect accessory, along with these gorgeous pink earrings that I’ve had years. Whenever I move, I can hear them, like miniature wind-chimes.
The photos were taken in the fields just behind our house here in the Algarve. It’s always so peaceful there. And, although quite dry at the moment, it’s still pretty. And it allowed the pink and blue to pop! Always important in a shoot, right? lol 😉
