Last week I mentioned I bought I pair of red jeans. I ordered them online, thinking I was ordering the exact same pair as the cream jeans I’d got a few weeks prior. Imagine my surprise when I realised they weren’t the same pair at all, because they came from a completely different shop!
It was one of those total DOH moments, making me feel like a bit of a peri-menopausal moron. I’d bought the slim-fit cream mom jeans in Stradivarius, yet the red loose-fit mom jeans were from Bershka. Luckily, despite me ordering the red jeans in a size 40 like the cream ones, they actually fit. Usually in Bershka, I need to size up.
So, here they are…this is the first time I’m wearing them and I must say, I kinda like them. They are a bit of an odd length though (for me). I tend to like looser fitting jeans to be a bit longer than this so they almost skim the floor. These skim my shoes instead, which is why I’ve folded them. I just think it looks a bit less dated this way. If I was thirty years younger, I’d wear them unfolded because the cool kids can wear any length and look good, right?
I tried on a few things with the red jeans to get a feel for them, before settling on the white shirt (old) and striped sweater (a thrift store find) combo. Admittedly, I did try a matching red long-sleeved tee as well, but I looked like a Christmas elf so promptly took it off! I thought my new platform Puma sneakers work well with the look, because they also help to give it a bit of a fresh take. I’ve added my favourite red earrings and a few silver rings and threw on my Desigual bag et voila…my red jeans outfit. What do you think? Are you a fan of red jeans? How do you wear yours?
