Last week, I had a fabulous time enjoying a few little shopping sprees in the summer sales. The first, I spent the day with a friend at Mar Shopping and the Algarve Designer Outlet – they are situated right next door to each other in the Faro area. My second trip was to my local shopping centre, Aqua, where I wiled away a few hours on my own. And then lastly, hubby and I returned to Faro together. Primarily, we were headed to Ikea to buy a couple of window blinds but ended up at Mar Shopping and the Outlet again!
The sales this season are excellent. Both hubby and I have bought some real gems that we can’t wait to wear. We had such a lovely day hanging out, browsing the sales and then having some lunch in the centre. We found a wonderful sushi place there. Actually, my friend and I ate sushi there the week before and enjoyed it so much that I just had to go back with hubby. It’s called Hanami and the food is divine – all freshly prepared there and then. If you’re a fan of Miso soup, I highly recommend theirs. It’s delicious!
Shopping Sprees
All in all, over the space of a week and during my shopping sprees, I’ve bought two pairs of shoes, two pairs of black trousers, a white floaty skirt, two white dresses and five tops! Oh, and three pairs of knickers! And I could quite easily have bought much, much more had I had the funds to do so lol! I do love the summer sales – our shopping centres are quite outdoor focussed, so it’s just wonderful to have a wander and enjoy the warmth of the sun. And whenever it gets too hot, you just pop into a shop for a cool down.
I bought this top in Primark last week. It wasn’t in the sales, but I loved it so just had to have it. If I remember correctly, it only cost nine euros. It’s pretty, isn’t it? I love this detail:
I’ve had these white denim shorts for years and they always get a lot of wear during the summer months. I also bought them from Primark. The shoes were hand-me-downs from my lovely pal, Christine. I must say, after a few hours though, my feet were aching and I wished I’d worn my Calla Shoes instead!
As for my handbag, hubby bought this for me a couple of years ago. It wasn’t cheap – he bought it in a leather shop and when we got it home, we discovered it’s not actually leather! Oh well…. it’s still a great bag!
Did you spot my ring, above? I inherited it from my late step-mother-in-law. It’s probably one of my favourite rings – it’s an amethyst and is simply gorgeous, isn’t it?
Have you enjoyed any shopping sprees in the summer sales yet? If so, have you found any gems?
