Recently we visited the beautiful town of Siguenza and I was blown away by its beauty. En-route from the Algarve to England, we’d found the town online (beforehand) and decided to visit – I had no idea it was going to be so breathtaking!
There were lots of pretty little stone houses as well as the most gorgeous cathedral – not to mention the castle.
We arrived mid afternoon, so just had a little bit of time to explore before the sun went down, then headed up to our hotel (the amazing Siguenza Parador – more about that later this week) for a bath, chill out and change of clothes before heading back into town for a bite to eat. Thus started our problem – nothing was open! It was around 7.30pm and we were starving and tired, we walked around for a good half hour before giving up and heading back to the parador. We’re glad we did though, as we had a terrific meal (but again, more about that later).
Here are a few of the stunning things we saw during our walk…
