I’m a sucker for wearing dresses over jeans. There’s just something about the combination that I adore. Perhaps it’s just the practicality of it that I find so appealing, or perhaps it’s just because I’m obsessed with jeans. Speaking of being obsessed though, I have something new to obsess about! It’s this beautiful leather Teddy Blake handbag that I’m featuring for my Shades of Green post this week…
The folks at Teddy Blake New York were kind enough to gift me a bag of my choice from their vast collection, and I knew I would opt for a green one (after all, you know how obsessed with green I am, right?! lol). So, after spending ages perusing their site, I finally settled on the Ava Gold 11″ handbag in dark green. And because the lovely people at Teddy Blake knew I’m also obsessed (today’s word is…obsessed!) with wide straps, they also gifted me a strap to match so I chose the Croco Leather Wide Strap also in dark green.
When the Teddy Blake bag and strap arrived, I was absolutely delighted with them. They were packaged beautifully in their own fabric bags within a beautiful box. The quality is second to none. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever had such a beautifully made bag, and if you know me, you’ll know that’s saying something because I’ve got a LOT of handbags! I’m over the moon by my choice and I know this handbag is going to get a lot of use. So be prepared to see it over and over on the blog!
I wanted my first outfit to make a statement, but not overshadow the Teddy Blake handbag, of course. So, like I mentioned above, I decided to style a dress over jeans. But this time, I unbuttoned the dress to make it look like a kimono / duster (not sure what else to call it). I wore a very simple all black ensemble beneath it, which I think worked rather well. A black Tezenis vest (tank top) and skinny black Levi’s, along with my black Calla pumps. This allowed the Stradivarius dress to pop alongside the Teddy Blake handbag. I was delighted with the final look, as was Michael who actually said, “WOW” when I walked into the room. I love it when that happens…it makes me feel pretty. He was also super impressed with the handbag, and he has very high standards (he married me, didn’t he?!).

This is not a sponsored post, all thoughts and opinions are my own. I was, however, gifted this bag from Teddy Blake New York.
