I love the rain, I always have – albeit from the comfort of my home or car. Sometimes though, I do enjoy being out in it (provided I’m well covered up), just enjoying the sounds and the sights and the beauty of rain, of everything getting covered in droplets of water. It can be so beautiful and inspiring, don’t you agree?
We’ve certainly been having our fair share of rain here in the Algarve over the past couple of weeks. Not that I’m complaining, far from it. As usual, we need it after a dry summer. But I do feel sorry for the holidaymakers that are here at the moment though. At least it’s still relatively warm for them though. However, all I want is for the temperature to plummet so we can start feeling like Autumn is here and I can start wearing all my favourite winter clothes again!
Last week, in between downpours, Michael grabbed the camera and ran outside. It was shortly after we’d taken delivery of a new camera lens (which is totally awesome, by the way!) and I wondered what he was up to. When he came back and put the sim card into my Mac, I was blown away by the pictures he’d taken. They’ve almost got a magical quality about them, Christmassy even. I just love them so I thought I’d share them with you – the beauty of rain.
