This month it was my turn to choose the Fab40s theme, and because we’ve been avidly watching The Crown lately, I just had to choose TWEED. Admittedly, I don’t have an awful lot of tweed in my wardrobe, but I wish I did because I do rather like it!
Tweed jacket
I do, however, own this fabulous tweed jacket that I bought over a year ago from Sainbury’s (a UK supermarket which often has some gorgeous items in its’ TU range). If memory serves me correctly, it cost less than £25 which isn’t very much for a jacket of this quality. One thing that appealed to me is the lining, which is a luxurious pinky-purple satin, not to mention the khaki green of the jacket itself (you know how much I love khaki lol!). Purple (or pink) and green is a particular favourite colour combination of mine, so it seemed only apt that I should wear the tweed jacket with a pinky-purple jumper and khaki trousers. This has now become one of my favourite outfits! I just love it.
Wide-legged trousers
I bought these wide-legged khaki trousers from Massimo Dutti earlier this year. They fitted me so perfectly, in fact, that I got two pairs—in grey and khaki. Check out the grey pair in this post (also a Fab40s outfit). We spotted this jumper in Massimo Dutti just a few weeks ago, and I couldn’t resist it. The colour is simply gorgeous, right?
Sparkly pink
To finish off the outfit, my super sparkly pink Doc Martens were the obvious choice because of the perfect colour match (not that I’m usually a matchy-matchy kind of gal lol). And to top it all off, I gravitated towards this pink scarf that I’ve owned for years. I can’t even remember where it came from, to be honest. It’s such a beautiful colour, I ought to use it more often. Oh, and a couple of rings and a necklace that were all gifts from mother-in-law!

I’m loving Ada’s Christmas look — what a fabulous tweed skirt! And I love that she’s teamed it with a red checked shirt (must show my bestie, she’ll LOVE this!). Finished off with the most perfect pair of flat pointy shoes, Ada looks utterly fabulous!

I’m swooning over Daenel’s look this month — which is quite often the case with Daenel’s looks. I simply adore the wide-legged trousers and the over-sized slouchy sweater. I’m in love with the entire look!

Shelbee looks absolutely stunning in her tweed outfit. I love the shades of grey, the cute girlieness of that beautiful lace-trimmed dress, gorgeous blazer and those pink satin shoes are simply divine! Can you tell I ADORE the whole ensemble?
