An outfit that I consider to be the epitome of chic is wide legged trousers with brogues, which got me thinking, why not wide-legged jeans with brogues? Hm? So last week I thought I’d try my favourite pink brogues with my favourite soft wide-legged jeans. A girlie cardigan which is pulled in at the waist and a grey and pink scarf completed the look.
This is one of those outfits that just seemed to happen and I must say I love it. Because it was a tad chilly when we first left the house, I wasn’t sure what coat to wear so I rifled around in the coat wardrobe (yes, we actually have a whole wardrobe dedicated to all our coats!) and found this lovely purple number. I’ve had it for years and I’m going to be really honest with you here; I’ve never actually worn it.
It was a gift from Jackie, my fabulous mother-in-law, a few Christmases ago and I just didn’t feel like it was very me. But after wearing it the other day, I must admit, it’s seriously grown on me. I actually love it now! Doh! Needless to say, you’ll probably see it on the blog in the future (next winter… to hell with what the current trend might be!).
Wide-legged jeans
Yes I’m pretty sure you’ve seen the jeans before. They’re my favourite (as I keep saying!) soft wide-legged jeans from Massimo Dutti, and I’ll go as far as to say they’re the most comfy jeans I’ve ever had. They just fit really well and are super soft and well, comfy lol! I absolutely love them. I wish I had them in various colours 😉
Cardigan
My grey cardie is years old too. I bought it in the sales in Lisbon from H&M. It was a size small when I usually wear an XS, but it’s boded well. It doesn’t get an awful lot of wear for some reason but I do like the femininity of it. Perhaps I ought to wear it a little more in future?
Brogues
The brogues were from Clarks last year. Inspired by the gorgeous Lizzy, who had bought a pair, I simply couldn’t resist. They are absolutely gorgeous aren’t they? Not that you can see much of them here lol.
I should mention this cute floral scarf too, which you may have seen before here. My heart skipped a beat as soon as I saw it and just had to buy it from Parfois in Lisbon.
Growing out my pixie
On another note, my hair’s looking a little blah here… it’s quite difficult to style at the moment. It’s that awful length, especially the sides which stick out all over the place unless I attack it with my straighteners. I can’t wait for it to be long enough to just drip dry lol!
